The Alabama – Florida League
Hall Of Fame – Documents |

Carl East played three games in the majors, one with the St. Louis Browns and two
with Washington. More importantly, East was president of the neighboring Georgia-Alabama League, and an excellent minor league player. In 1930, East hit an amazing .433 while playing with Anniston in Georgia-Alabama League. Anniston was the team where years earlier a young Ty Cobb made a name for himself. |
