Hust in game with Dothan – Aug 29-’38. Trucks tied Hoss Radbourne’s record of 411 (which has since been amended to 441 in Troy on August 20th, then broke the record against Dothan. The ball shows that the final game, August 29th, Trucks struck out 7 batters making his total 418. Some sources put Trucks’ total at 417, but either way, it was an amazing performance. J.H. Johnson, who signed and wrote out the totals was the official scorer for the game. |
